To develop new revenue streams / markets and customers. Work with the Sales team and operational business to implement Sales best practice to maximise value and minimise risk for both the business and it's customers. Responsible for strategy, budgeting, forecasting, customer management and number of sales and commercial processes such as order life cycle, cost capture, valuation, tendering, reporting and ensuring recovery of all contractual entitlements. Leading sales and commercial team. Working with Commercial Manager on making sure processes / resources and interfaces are managed in controlled manner.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                             

Sales

  • Development of new customers / markets / revenue streams
  • Periodic / Quarter / Annual sales forecasting and trends
  • One point of contact to the customer (Rail, PC fixations, PC DLD, PC Turnout, Zentrack, BC Tram)
  • C4C – crm tool management
  • Manage existing customers, develop relationship - C4C
  • Deliver Annual Budget and Monitor periodic sales trackers
  • Tender portal monitoring
  • Tender management and submission
  • Industry research for new opportunities
  • Promote voestalpine vaTT UK and corporate brand
  • Sales / Customer strategy
  • Existing Contract Management
  • Attending customer meetings / visists and reviews, along with report writing and action plans -C4C
  • Providing quotes for customers – work with Commercial team
  • Responding to enquiries
  • Downstream integration
  • Promote company services strategy across the UK and develop new innovative markets.
  • Attend sales and services workshops to develop knowledge and gain knowledge
  • Tramway sales, to build on current non-NR business by building on current relationships and to find new business opportunities
  • Period End, Yer End, PMS, KPI, Sales Funnel, C4C reporting

Inter-Departmental Support

  • Training and development members of Sales team.
  • Cover during busy periods and holidays.
  • Maintain competency matrix to ensure full support across sales and commercial.
  • Supporting other departments when required.
  • Attending management meetings
  • Establish best practice and drive standardisation.
  • Processes review and development.
  • Record performance of department and members of Sales team – quarterly review and annual appraisals
  • Internal Reporting (Planned Sales, PMS, Sales Trackers, Forecasting)

Change Processes

  • Developing of robust procedures and process review.
  • Developing internal KPI’s to allow more precise sales analysis 

QualificationsQualifications

  • Previous Sales experience within a manufacturing background, in particular rail is desirable,
  • Degree in Commerical / Business Management and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise to achieve deadlines,
  • Excellent Communication Skills.

    • 0800 – 1630 Tuesday – Thursday,
